Nutri-Ice Cream® is for those who want to maintain a healthy weight after being unwell or during treatment. Nutri-Ice Cream® was initially developed for those with a cancer diagnosis who were undergoing treatment and had a reduced appetite, but it’s suitable for anyone who needs to increase their calorie intake and maintain a healthy weight.

Yes. Nutri-Ice Cream® is intended for those undergoing treatment but depending on the type of treatment please always check with a healthcare professional first. Nutri-Ice Cream® was developed as an alternative to Ensure and Fortisip shakes, as the majority of patients we spoke to hated the taste and texture of them.

Nutri-Ice Cream® offers a great alternative to fortified shakes like Ensure and Fortisip. Unlike those products, Nutri-Ice Cream® is made with just a handful of ingredients and doesn’t contain any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. 

Each 100g tub is enriched with our unique supplement known as DJK+® which contains over 30% of your RDA (recommended daily allowance) for key vitamins and minerals. 

With over 300 calories in each tub Nutri-Ice Cream®, it’s a great solution if you have a reduced appetite and a simple way to ensure you’re getting maximum calories without feeling too full.

Nutri-Ice Cream® is made with just a handful of natural ingredients. We don’t use any
artificial, colours, flavours or preservatives. Unlike many other ice creams
and frozen desserts, we don’t consider our products to be ultra-processed. You
can find all our ingredients in your own kitchen, apart from our unique DJK+®
vitamin and mineral formulation.

Our co-founder, Dr Jon Krell, developed a unique, game-changing formula known as DJK+® - an encapsulation of essential vitamins and minerals. Each tub of Nutri-Ice Cream® is enriched with over 30% of the RDA (recommended daily allowance) for Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, Magnesium, Iron & Zinc. 

Encapsulation is a process by which the vitamins and minerals are coated so they don’t flavour the product. They are digested at the optimum time in your stomach to give maximum benefit.

After taking out of the freezer Nutri Ice Cream® needs time to soften for 10 minutes before enjoying

No, Nutri-Ice Cream® is not dairy free as it’s made with double cream and whole milk.

My Doctor’s Recipe was founded by Dr Jon Krell, a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Medical Oncology at Imperial College London and a renowned Oncologist. Jon launched My Doctor’s Recipe alongside Alan Mackenzie, who had recently lost his wife to cancer. Jon’s medical expertise combined with Alan’s personal story led them to create their first product - Nutri-Ice Cream®. 

Jon has over 20 years’ experience in clinical research within the cancer and oncology field, and has published numerous papers. He has treated thousands of patients over the years and has drawn on these encounters to create a product that will improve nutrition within healthcare. 

Nutri-Ice Cream® is made in the UK with only natural ingredients. Unlike our competitor products (Ensure & Fortisip) we never use any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. We use date syrup (a natural sugar) to sweeten our products rather than unrefined sugar which most other ice cream contains.

Yes, Nutri-Ice Cream® is suitable for children who need to increase their calorie intake and reach their vitamin & mineral targets; however we always suggest consulting with a healthcare professional before giving anything new to a child – particularly if they are unwell or undergoing treatment. 

We are launching a children’s range in Autumn 2024 which will include child-friendly flavours (banana, chocolate & strawberry) and packaging designed by our charity partner Spread a Smile.

Once your order is placed you will get an email to say it has been processed – you can then expect your delivery within 48 hours.

Note :  Orders can be placed at any time but dispatch is Monday to Thursday with a midday cutoff on Thursday for Friday delivery. Any orders placed from Midday Thursday to Sunday evening will be processed on a Monday.

Our fulfilment centre will send you an email to tell you that your order has been processed and it is then handed to DX Express.

DX Express will send you a confirmation email/text to say they are expecting a delivery for you, once received they will send a second email/text stating ‘out for delivery today’ and will give you an eta (you will also be able to track the driver). A final email/text will tell you it has been delivered and the time it was delivered.

Please do not change your delivery date/time once processed. Your order is packed in dry ice to ensure the ice cream reaches you in perfect condition to go straight into your freezer.

Our Nutri-Ice Cream® is packed with dry ice which keeps it frozen for 36-48hrs once dispatched. It will arrive with you frozen and ready to pop straight in your freezer.
